As far as stand up, Chris Rock is the best in stand up and he can make any subject funny. He is always great in interviews and keeps up with current affairs. He is number one to me. I watched his shows over and over. Very good comedy. Katt Williams would be number two. Dave is okay.

I don’t care for Dave Crappelle very much, but everyone else on this list is good with me (with the exception of Tracy Morgan). To me, a GOOD comedian is one who’s funny with or without cussing. Crappelle’s love for the ‘N’ word bothers me to an extent. I know that other comedians that I like also use that word, but at least THEY ARE FUNNY! I don’t hate the guy, but a fan of his, I am not. I also agree that Eddie Griffin, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx & Cedric the Entertainer should be added to this roster! ;-)

Just using this list that they gave Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Martin & Chris Roc (minus his annoying ass high pitched voice). All the rest are funny in movies or TV skits but as comedians they have a few one liners here & there but nothing like Eddie, Bernie, Martin & Chris who dominated the late 80′s & 90′s comedy scene

For me its a tie between Mike Epps and Kevin Hart. Lets be real…we should be talking about the new generation of black comedians. Jamie hasnt done standup in almost a decade. Neither has Martin, Eddie was funny ten years ago and Tracy, Eddie and Ced. have all moved onto movies almost strictly…really the only competition as far as stand up is chris rock. Oh and Im sorry Kat williams had a nice little run (until he went crazy). I also think Affion crocckett is a funny up and coming comedian.

i LOVE em all but Katt Williams is PLAYED now (sorry fans but its true get over it). He had a nice lil run but his days are up. And Mike Epps is funny but not hilarious to the point i’d watch him all day. They shud add DERAY DAVIS up here tho. Now ol’boy is dumb funny no one can deny that. For the people saying Richard Pryor should be on here if u would of read the story correctly it states Richard Pryor is a Genius and gives he props so relax lol.But i do agree that he should have been put this list since Eddie Murphy on here when the both old school comedians.I like Eddie griffin too but a lot of people i know dont think he funny i was shocked he was mention in the comments. First of All…..richard pryor is excluded because he’s the greatest ever. There’s no need to rate him. He’s the god of comedy. Pryor, Redd, Carlin, Mooney, & Murphy are the Mount Rushmore of Comedy. However, some of these comedians shouldn’t be mentioned.

To be honest, people can’t get mad at the list.Dave chappelle did change the comedy world around. He brung something new to the table. He don’t have the funest stand up comedy but he a all around comedian, just like martin, eddie murphy,katt williams chris rock, jamie foxx, and chris tucker.
