When Will Smith came onto the rap scene as with his DJ Jazzy Jeff as the Fresh Prince he was a clean cut Philadelphia suburb kid who won music fans being himself and didn’t have to resort to grimy street narratives to sell records. Unfortunately, there have been too many rappers that attempted to “keep it real” without actually keeping it real.

One has to wonder, what if the Fresh Prince adopted a gangsta persona like many of his peers? If that happened, instead of the hip yet safe and likable Will Smith that went on to silver screen superstardom the show’s intro involving our beloved Bel-Air bound TV character would probably be something like this (WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW). – Pharoh Martin
