Luxury lifestyle designer Jhung Yuro has created a one-of-a-kind pair of limited edition sneakers for luxury cognac brand Hennessy called The Hennessy Celebration Hi-Top.

The Hennessy Celebration Hi-Top is made from soft full grain leather with a cow suede tongue and vamp, napa pigskin interior and a lizard embossed overlay and strap. Color blocked with cognac brown and cream, The Hennessy Celebration Hi-Top has a non-marking rubber midsole, crepe rubber outsole with leather logo patch, deco stitch and will be packaged in an exotic skin embossed shoebox with a braided rope shoebox handle. The limited edition Hennessy Celebration Hi-Top (with only 500 pairs are available stateside) will retail for $300 and is available exclusively at www.jhungyuro.com.

Recognizing the potential in luxury co-branded sneakers, Hennessy was looking to continue building long-term connections with its customers. The goal was for the Hennessy Celebration Hi-Top to bring to life the premium uniqueness and power of the Hennessy brand and its global influence on the urban tastemaker. Unfortunately, they didn’t really succeed in capturing the essence of the classic spirit. While Yuro is obviously a noted designer in the field, the shoe just falls flat. What do you think?
