MTV’s new reality series Taking The Stage documents the lives of five ambitious kids from Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts.
The main characters include a ballerina, Jasmine, two hip-hop dancers, Tyler and Shaakira, a choreographer, Malik, and a singer/songwriter, Mia, who are all striving to do their thing amongst the best of the best. Add in all that teenage drama—such as love triangles, fights and character rivalries—and MTV has yet another addictive show on their hands. High school is hard, no doubt, but add in applying to Juilliard, rigorous rehearsals and, of course, dating, and we can’t wait to see what happens.
