In the spirit of kids getting video cameras this holiday season and remembering the awesome title of the Beastie Boys fan-shot documentary Awesome; I Fuckin’ Shot That!, I figured I would highlight a few of my favorite celeb YouTube channels and clips.
Soulja Boy – You all know the story. This kid pretty much made his career off of the YouTube grind. And whether or not you like his music, you have to admit the kid is a new media machine. He even graced our sister site HelloBeautiful recently. Peep his “Go Platinum In A Week” campaign and tell me if you don’t think he’ll do it.
Cassie – Like Soulja Boy, she knows how to use the web. She’s also an intelligent… Oh damn this… just look at her!
Diddy -Vote or Die didn’t work last election, but I will be damned if DiddyTV and its witty political clips didn’t sway a few people. Peep his classic “Sarah Palin Scares Me” video.
And Diddy wouldn’t be Diddy if he didn’t take the opportunity to shamelessly self-promote EVERYTHING. Cue the new “I Am King” mini-movie commerical:
Aaron McGruder – The Boondocks creator says he’s working hard on Season 3 but he seems to have some extra time on his hands. Hence his new YouTube channel which has already become a favorite in the Hall household. Word to Black Jesus.
Tynisha Keli – You may or may not know who she is YET, but we at GIANT heart this chick. She is just so… gangsta!
