Speed Racer
The first hint that the Wachowski Brothers’ live-action version of the ’60s anime favorite wasn’t going to be your daddy’s Speed Racer came in this early trailer, which put the film’s super-charged racing sequences and hallucinogenic colors on full display. Personally, I couldn’t stop watching the damn thing. No surprise that I’m one of the only people in America who actually loved the movie, which you’ll see as my Best Movies of the Year list continues.
