90210′s Tristan Wilds was been cast in Red Tails, George Lucas’ upcoming World War II drama about Black escort pilots.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie, written by John Ridley and directed by Anthony Hemingway, will detail the heroics of the all-black 332nd Fighter Group, also known as the Red Tails.
Wilds, who’s best known for his role as Michael in HBO’s The Wire, will play Ray “Ray Gun” Knight, a wingman pilot who with his friend help their fighting unit cement an exceptional combat record in Nazi-occupied Italy the face of racism within their own military. - Pharoh Martin
