Swoon and also DIE! According to our amazing friends at MTV, Tip will indeed be taking a turn on the small screen for a reality show that is slated for a January or February 2009 release.

I will be front and center whilst ignobly wiping drool off my chin since whenever this guy speaks, my heart does the Macarena.

Here’s a brief synopsis:

“After being found guilty on weapons charges, rap superstar T.I. has been sentenced to one year in prison and 1000 hours of community service focusing on helping at risk teens. In this new ground breaking documentary series we will hear from the man himself as he tries to change the lives of desperate teenagers across the country and in the process change his own.

“In order to tell T.I.’s story, we will meet a new at risk teen during each episode. Each one is the epitome of where T.I. has found himself at some point during his own life. By interweaving their stories along with T.I.’s ongoing struggle, to manage his career, to be there for his wife and kids and simultaneously complete his community service, we will see him go above and beyond what the justice system has asked him to do in order to try to effect a real change in these young people. With an all access pass we see the raw honest truth about what happens to a man when all the chips are down, and what he has do to pick himself up.”
