Run-D.M.C. Picked for Rock And Roll Hall of Fame

Kings of rock, indeed. Announced today, Run-D.M.C. will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame–along with Metallica, Jeff Beck, Little Anthony & the Imperials and Bobby Womack (yes!). On April 4, the iconic trio joins the previously inducted Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five to hold down hip-hop in the HOF. But who else deserves a slot? Eric B. and Rakim, certainly. And we can’t wait for Wu-Tang to make it. (Hey, GIANT’s staff can dream, can’t we?) What do you think?

Also, we have some beef with the Stooges getting nominated and taking the shaft yet again. This after shirtless Iggy performed for Madonna at last year’s ceremony, and guitarist Ron Asheton just passed away. Now that’s one hell of an “F U.” Anyway…here are some classic Run-D.M.C. moments:
