Joseph “Jojo” Simmons, Jr., the son of Joseph “Reverend Run” Simmons of hip-hop group Run-DMC, was released from jail on Saturday May 9, after being arrested the previous night. Simmons, Jr., 19, was charged with two counts of possession of marijuana and one count resisting arrest. He was busted while trying to purchase marijuana in the Washington Heights section of New York City.
Police arrested the aspiring rapper/MTV reality TV star while he was rolling up a joint in his BMW, which had “Jojo” on the license plates. When cops first approached the car, Simmons attempted to evade them by putting it in reverse, almost hitting a police cruiser. (Via SOHH).
