A new Eminem track “Number One”—which sounds like one hulluva new-album intro track—is floating around the Interweb today. It sounds as if the track’s opening and closing verses will eventually be rapped by Dr. Dre, but here it appears that Em is impersonating his mentor as a place-holder for the final bars (correct me if I’m wrong). Marshall brings it hard on the chorus channeling a lil Nate Dogg, and the second verse is absolute fire. Most importantly, though, is that Dr. Dre’s piano-tinkled, laid-back production is an apocalyptic echo of The Chronic 2001. Yes!
Check for the leak here and here (before it disappears).
