The Happening

Cheer up, M. Night Shyamalan!  The Happening may have tanked with critics and audiences, but you’ve still made the funniest comedy of this young century.  You did mean for this to be a comedy, right?  I can’t imagine how you could expect audiences to take a film with dialogue like “Why you eyen’ my lemon drink?” or “Hot dogs get a bad rap” seriously.  Wait a second…you wanted this to be scary?  Well, huh.  That changes things.  In that case, I’m sorry to tell you that you failed miserably and your movie sucks.  But hey, maybe you should make a real comedy your next time out.  Clearly you know a thing or two about making an audience laugh.  Scaring them, not so much.
