Traitor
Traitor
Yo, Body of Lies! This is what a good spy thriller looks like. I’m still shocked that Jeffrey Nachmanoff’s tense, exciting and, at times, morally complex story of a former U.S. soldier-turned-undercover-operative tasked with infiltrating an Islamic terrorist cell didn’t make more of an impact at the box office when it was released back in August. (Blame the limited pre-release publicity and small screen count: even those folks who knew it was coming out weren’t sure where they could actually see the movie!) Here’s hoping that Traitor has more luck finding an audience on DVD. Certainly, it deserves to be seen for Don Cheadle’s terrific star turn alone. In fact, Traitor confirms what we’ve known all along: Cheadle can do absolutely anything–drama, comedy, action, you name it. Anyone care to start a petition to get Cheadle a major part in the next Bourne movie? I know Jason Bourne is badass, but I’m betting that Cheadle could take him down without breaking a sweat.
