Casting News: Tracy and Bruce Make a Cop Film

Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis team up to star in Kevin Smith’s first studio venture.

Kevin Smith always said that he never thought he’d be able to direct a film he didn’t write.  Of course, that was before his big comeback Zack and Miri Make a Porno stalled out at the box office.  Now Variety reports the former indie darling and ex-convenience store clerk has sold himself out as the director-for-hire of the new Warner Bros. comedy A Couple of Cops, which is set to star Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis as police officers on the trail of a stolen baseball card, while fending off gangsters after some missing loot.  Wow…so it’s kinda like The Shield meets National Security, huh?  Enjoy counting your money Kev!

Check out Smith riffing on Willis’ behavior while making the fourth Die Hard movie below.  Better hope ol’ Bruce didn’t hear ya Kevin!

    oh kevin was da s**t in clerks 2 and jay and silent bob strike back. i donno how many clerks-related movies he been in, but dat series funny az f**k! i love all da swearin an outlandish humor. wheres ya black cap at? i didntkno ya wore glasses. now da last die hard movie sucked cuz it wasnt rated r like da 1st 2. wut happened willis? ya gone soft n ya old age or sum s**t? itd b crazy if silent bob wuz n a movie wit bruce az sum tough guy.
