Ever lose something, then see someone in school using it, and when you try to claim it they say, “naw, it’s mine – my cousin bought it for me,” and both of you know full well that that ain’t true? Laser art company Etchstar lets you personalize the products that everyone else has, so you can legitimately kick a thief’s ass.
You can go to the site, pick out a stencil, and buy customized products directly from them (it appears they have a deal with Apple, but don’t hold me to that), or send in your own art and gadget and pay a small fee to get it tricked out. Those feeling way special about their jobs can even buy etched metal business cards, which is incredibly dope in theory, but for $875 for 500 cards, I’d end up being a stingy jerk about giving them out, and then no one would ever want to do business with me.
