Rapper/actor Mos Def will be dropping two collections with sportswear brand UNDRCRWN. The line will include tees, jackets and headwear.

“We took Mos Def’s DNA and applied it to ours. Many of the items incorporate the colors and cover print from the 2004 Dead Prez album Revolutionary But Gangsta, but also include personalization from Mos Def’s own life” said Dustin Canalin, Creative Director about the partnership.

Tees from the collection will retail for $30-$50; fitted hats for $40. The first half of the collection will be released Wednesday, March 18th 2009 and will be sold at select UNDRCRWN retailers and UNDRCRWN.com.

The clothing brand also has a collaboration with up-and-coming rapper Asher Roth.

Chicago-based emcee Kid Sister has landed a spot as the face of NYC-based female streetwear brand Married to the Mob‘s Spring 2009 campaign. The campaign was shot by photographer Lynette Astaire who has previously worked with the brand for shoots.

By definition, and I challenge you to disprove this, a “quickie,” in the cleanest of terms, is a hurried sexual encounter. Frequency of such can (sadly) determine the celebrity of many the hormone-engulfed adolescent. Subsequent stories detailing partner, time, and – most important when judging – place, of such an act will grant said honoree a figurative crown of symbolic manhood from his less-than-lucky friends, plus lots of backslaps, high-fives, and “you da’ man’s!” This is a sad sight to see, but nevertheless, a truth for the male species (of what I hope is only) under the age of 21.

For women, however, a “quickie” is the ability to shout “Do I Look Like I Give a F**k?” from our chests – where we know you’re looking, anyway. I’m sorry to say, my hapless homies, but unfortunately for you and your ego, we don’t need you this round. This season, when we’re in the mood for a “quickie,” we mean Married to the Mob’s small re-release of old classics in new styles.

Since stepping out of the tee only market with their Fall ’08 ready-to-wear collection, and a soon to be sought after collabo with Nike, Married to the Mob is continuing to diversify its design portfolio.

For their Holiday ’08 collection, the New York City based women’s line is releasing classic signature pieces from their past deliveries,  as well as new products, including a wool coat, a varsity bomber, a satin printed jacket, a cashmere sweater, and a matching hat/scarf set.

In celebration of Eminem’s autobiography The Way I Am, basketball inspired streetwear label UNDRCRWN has collaborated with the rapper to release a limited edition tee. Done up in the classic Detroit Piston’s colorway, the tee features a caricature of Eminem holding a “Greatest of All Time” trophy.

Things have been hectic with the team working on our next BIG thing. Luckily, our users are there to back us on the stuff THEY like. Fellow Sneaker Head Brian looked me out with these new collabo jawns from Lemar and Dauley.

The creativity of sneakers has continued to expand due to company collaborations. One of the most recent mash ups is the merger of Adidas and Lemar and Dauley. Brilliant colors along with a Spike Lee Do the Right Thing feel give this shoe a load of funk.

Adidas x Lemar and Dauley present the Remix Streetball 08. The shoe has been released in two different colorways, a black model and a teal model. Those in charge of flavor saw fit to add laces in different colors including black, teal, pink, neon, and a traditional white. Providing plenty of comfort inside the shoe is a plush bootie. The mundane leather has been left behind and sprucing up the front as well as the back of the shoe is a suede texture. The shoe is well made and can get a lot of heads turning. For those looking for something out of the ordinary to add to the collection, take a peek and cop a pair. You certainly won’t find these on too many feet.

Priced around $150, these shoes can be purchased at retailers with top tier Lemar and Dauley accounts in a neighborhood near you.
