The King of Pop passed away more than three months ago, and he is still making waves in the music industry and in the media. The movie tribute to Michael Jackson’s life and music career, “THIS IS IT,” releases in theaters worldwide on October 28^th. It features rare behind-the-scenes footage of his last rehearsals for his comeback tour. And, already tickets are selling out fast for the limited two-week engagement.

Another bonus for Michael Jackson fans everywhere is Universal Motown’s Michael Jackson: The Remix Suite project. The album features 20 brand new remixes of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5 classics. If officially drops on October 20^th, but DJ Cassidy’s remix of The Jackson 5′s “The Love You Save” released online today.

DJ Cassidy describes the song as “a true hand-ups, top-down, feel-good anthem, ‘The Love You Save’ embodies every part of Mike’s early spirit and energy that made magic for years to come.”

Monday was far from mundane as MVD Inc, Belvedere Vodka and GIANT Magazine took over the downtown district to celebrate the release of Fabolous’ highly anticipated album, Loso’s Way. Idris Elba, Ryan Leslie, Keri Hilson, Vanessa Ferlito and Adrienne Bailon were just a few of the guests in attendance who partied the night away to the sounds of DJ Clue and DJ Cassidy.

New York’s Soho district was alive with art lovers on Wednesday evening. Celebrities, art enthusiasts and a who’s who from the city’s art scene gathered to attend Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s 2009 Gold Rush Awards. The multi-media fundraising event, hosted by MTV’s Sway and presented by artist and foundation co-founder Danny Simmons, honored music and art program founders Beverly Bond and Sonja Okun, and writer/ curator Franklin Sirmans. Notable guests Grammy winner Estelle, actor Jamie Hector, and photographer Jamel Shabazz socialized while rapper Talib Kweli and DJ Cassidy rocked the evening’s music.

Russell Simmon’ Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) hosts a benefit for the Community and Individual Development Association in Johnnesburg, South Africa. DEF also named South African top model Nicola Breytenbach it’s first “African Angel.” The stars came out to raise money for a good cause. Check out the party.
