So I was amongst the few and lucky that got to go to the Beyoncé listening last night. It was awesome. They served sushi. There have been a glut of rumors regarding B’s slated latest and and there were several revelations that we’d like to confirm. As well as a tasty curveball that some amongst you may be very interested in.

First of all, here’s her complete tracklisting. Yes, the album is called, “I Am… Sasha Fierce,” an homage to Beyoncé’s alter-ego who evidently has a descriptive (rowr!) last name. Yes, it’s a double disc, there is a Beyoncé side and a Sasha side. And a deluxe edition that includes extra tracks which I would encourage ya’ll to cop as the extra stuff is good.

So there we were, milling around with our wine glasses, remarking on the obscene view from the 35th floor of the Sony building in Midtown when we hear the opening notes of “If I Were a Boy” tinkling in. And then we hear Beyoncé weathered, impassioned timbre IN FREAKIN’ Spanish. Turns out, not only does she have a Beyoncé side and a Sasha side, both sides speak Spanish with a remarkable fluency. Who knew? Also, check out the listing of the Beyoncé side. Might just be me, but with “Smash Into You,” and “Satellites” on the disc, does anyone else get reminded of Dave Matthews? The Spanish album will be released in February.
