Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in writing for GIANT Magazine. The first thing you should do is grab a copy of the magazine and familiarize yourself with our departments and sections. It’s important that you target your pitches and queries to specific sections of the magazine.

Things to know:

We do not accept completed or previously published articles.

In your query letter give us a summary of your story idea; include a brief biography that describes your writing experience, and some clips of your published work.

If you would like to submit more than one idea, write separate queries for the appropriate sections.

A query should include a thorough outline that introduces your article proposal and highlights each of the points you intend to make. Your query should explain why the topic is timely and why you’re the appropriate writer to discuss the topic.

Send your e-mail query to letters at sfontaine@giantmag.com. Please don’t send attachments. If you have published clips online, please include links.

We receive dozens of queries a month, so allow 6 weeks for a response. Each submission must include your name, address, daytime telephone number and e-mail address.

We no longer accept queries and/or clip packets in the mail. Please submit all queries and pitches via email. Thanks!
