Hyden Yoo: Formally Un-tucked
A little over a year ago, we caught wind of a young menswear designer named Hyden Yoo who, at the time, was making a concise line of versatile button-ups. Cut short, his shirts smartly transformed from formal to casual with a quick un-tuck. (We bought several and wore them often.) This season, Hyden Yoo has blossomed with an expanded line of fall/winter pieces—coats, jackets, cardigans. See more of our favorites after the jump.
We love the short-cropped peacoat and the rounded-lapel blazer. Reminiscent of A.P.C., the toggle jacket is a refreshing take on a coat style that is often way too big. And the brown bomber (below) looks like the type of everyday jacket that will endure decades of wear and changing trends.
This past August, Gen Art selected Hyden Yoo as one of two menswear designers for its 14th Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion Show. Oak has several of these pieces available at its NYC stores and online. Prices range from $222 for the gray cardigan to $428 for the brown bomber.
