Wide-eyed and full-lipped, Chrisette Michele, 26, is a classic beauty with a timeless voice. Upon the release of her sophomore album, Epiphany, GIANT met up with Michele and her glam squad to get the lowdown on her beauty regimen. Meet makeup artist JJ Jacobucci and self-proclaimed “Hair Architect” Keith Campbell.

Hair Raising: “Epiphany is very youthful; I wanted to do something fun,” says Campbell. “Because she’s such a classic vocalist, I wanted to giver her something chic.” To combine the two, Campbell used ThermaFuse mousse. “It’s very good; you don’t have to use any gel. If she’s on the road, she can wrap it herself, and after it’s dry, she can curl her hair and sculpt it into the shape she likes.”

Bright Eyes: “If you brighten the eyes, that helps. The Shu Uemura eyelash curler is my favorite: thirty seconds on each eye. Add some on each L’Oréal or Lancôme mascara,” Jacobucci says. “But my new thing is using MAC cream eyeliner as eye shadow instead. If you want to apply color don’t be afraid. Instead of doing the typical brown and black pencil, try the new mascaras in blues, oranges, and yellows.”
