The Republican Party Nominating Sarah Palin as their Would-Be VP

At some point during the Presidential Race, you could actually see the point where John McCain lost the election. No it wasn’t on November 4. It was when his party chose for him he chose Alaska’s governor as his running mate.

Within the first days of Palin’s selection, news broke of her premaritally pregnant daughter Bristol, which completely went against her strong Bible-thumping convictions.

Oh yeah, and she was utterly a moron.

From jump, it was clear that she was unqualified for the position to possibly run the country in the event that “President McCain” should become incapacitated. She displayed a lack of knowledge when it came to things like what The Bush Doctrine is, what countries are in NAFTA (hint: the only countries in North America) and failed every time she dealt with the press.

And she got pranked by Canadians. There’s no bigger failure than getting one-upped by Canadians.

However, her rise to fame did give us some great Saturday Night Live moments. I guess there really is a silver lining to every situation.
