Rick Ross Should be Fined For “Luxury Tax”
Apparently Rick Ross didn’t get the memo about rappers and clothing lines.

Or maybe he did and decided to ignore it, just like when he was presented with damning evidence that proved that without a doubt, he was once a corrections officer. Not that there’s anything wrong with working for the system (well…), but when you’ve based your entire rap career on the fabrication that you were flooding Miami’s ports with kilos upon kilos of cocaine when in actuality you weren’t, it makes one wonder about how to take your outlandish claims. And in this case, it’s how to receive your garish gear.
Had Rick Ross employed the same creative license to his clothing line, the comically named Luxury Tax, that he does to his lyrics, he would have had a sure fire hit. After all, it takes imagination to conjure up those yacht-touting fantasies that are the basis of Deeper Than Rap.
But unfortunately, he didn’t.
Rather Rick Ross (or the interns at Def Jam he got to design these tees) opted to drop a line that even the vendors on Canal Street would think twice about displaying.
And rather than naming the line Luxury Tax, he probably should have named it something more along the lines of his lifestyle. Like Miami Vice.
