As digital music sales continue to push the CD format into irrelevancy, true school audiophiles can rejoice as vinyl is making a comeback.
According to Nielsen Soundscan, more vinyl albums were sold in 2008 than in any other year since 1991, which is when The Nielson Company started tracking music sales.
1.88 million albums were sold in 2008 which represents an 89% increase from 2007.
