Sri-Lankan born, British-bred artist M.I.A. will hit Indio, California to perform at music festival Coachella 2009. M.I.A., who stormed the charts with her hit song “Paper Planes” last year will perform before The Killers on Saturday April 18, 2009. She has played the festival twice before, drawing a significant crowd each time.

Some of the 125 performers playing the three day music festival include  Paul McCartney, The Cure, Morrissey,  The Chemical Brothers, and Thievery Corporation.
