The celebrations will continue tonight (Jan. 20) as Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States and first African-American to ever hold the office.
HBO already kicked off the celebration this past Saturday, January 18, 2009 with the “We Are One” concert featuring a star studded line-up including Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, U2 and a slew of other stars.
As the Obama hits the town officially as President, stars from across the land will be performing to celebrate this momentous occasion. Here’s some of the celebratory Inaugural Concerts that will be thrown in Washington D.C. tonight, January 20, 2009:
Neighborhood Ball Party @ The Washington Convention Center
Officially hosted by President Obama, this star-studded event will feature live performances by Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Faith Hill and more. This is also the event where President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will take their first dance.

The Legends Ball @ LOVE
Hip-hop’s greatest performers Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Biz Markie and Kid Capri take D.C. by storm as they celebrate Obama’s Presidency.
Harman Center for the Arts Present Elvis Costello and Sting
The two music legends will be performing in honor of Obama.
Urban Inaugural Ball @ Washington Marriott Wardman Park
Featuring performances by Ludacris, Fantasia, Big Boi, and more.
