Chrisette and Ciara Battle It Out For Number 1 Slot

One of these ladies has the number one album in the country. The other has the third. In between, is the teen-queen Miley Cyrus-powered soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie, but the one gets so much shine, for now we’ll focus on the powerhouse vocalist that is Chrisette Michele, and the always crowd-pleasing performance-artist that is Ciara.

Sophomore effort, Epiphany, gave Grammy-Award winning R&B singer Michele her first career No. 1, selling 83,000 copies. And Ciara, fresh off her weekend stint on Saturday Night Live, debuted her third album, Fantasy Ride, at No.3 with 81,000 opening-week copies sold.

Both ladies did their thing on their respective late-night and daytime talk-show appearences; Chrisette sang “Blame It On Me” last night on the Late Show with David Letterman, and Ciara danced her way through “Love Sex Magic” on The Ellen Degeneres Show this morning.

    Chrisette Michelle she has way more talent, then Ciara she’s not using sex to sell her records she’s using pure talent and she can sing have you ever heard Ciara live she is terrible.

    chrisett sounds way better but these days a lot of ppl dont go by that and thats sad plus she has good lyrics ciara on the other hand is young and naked so i wouldnt be suprise if she won

    Ciara all the way! Who da hell is chrisette michele? Where did this b***h come from? Her hairstyle makes her look like a chipmunk! And they say beyonce makes boring music? ummm no hunny our girl chrisette is boring to the maximum. Ciara dont look good in that pic but ive seen her look better. Aww thats sad cici only got 81’000 sold, beyonce got 482’000 copies sold in her first week. damn! all the best to cici i love her album.

    Agreed Chrisette is the better trained singer. Ciara sounds like every other pop singer, relying on her legs and rear to keep our attention. Further rollin around on the floor stickin her butt up is like payfer view porn; seems like she might be setting the stage for her next career.

    Anybody can prance around a stage half naked. Ciara’s try to do too much on stage. Flashy yes, impressive no.It takes true talent to be able to sing. Chrisette all the way!!!
