Trailer of the Week: Inglorious Basterds

It’s been two decades in the making, but here’s the first glimpse at Quentin Tarantino’s World War II movie.

Wow…so it looks like Inglorious Basterds is gonna be a real movie.  How about that?  For the longest time, it looked like it would stay on the shelf alongside Chinese Democracy and Watchmen as things that would never ever see the light of day.  But now that Axl’s albums is in stores and Watchmen is a month away from release, I guess ol’ Quentin finally decided to stop messing around and get this sucker made.  Based on this minute-and-a-half long clip, it looks like Inglorious Basterds will offer the same mixture of over-the-top violence and offbeat comedy that defines every Tarantino picture.  And holy crap-is that Ryan from The Office playing one of these Nazi-hunting soldiers?  Who knew he’d have to go all the way back to World War II-era Germany to get away from Kelly Kapoor?
