Guru and Solar Celebrate “A New Day”

“As a Black man in America who has watched his parents and grandparents face many challenges and struggles as well as knowing the many obstacles we as a people have overcome, this can only be one of the most inspirational, exciting, historical events ever experienced. Not only for Black people but for all people. I believe that Barack Obama has shown the most intelligence, integrity, and strength to bring him to this point and I feel that he will rise to the handle any and all of the difficult challenges he may encounter as he leads this great Country into a more positive future. I am indeed quite proud…. As an entertainer and one who feels bound to the uplifting of art and culture, I feel that Barack Obama has a true mission that is free of gimmicks and empty talk. I am not a politician but at the same time, Obama strikes me as a unique politician who has a genuine concern for all of the people who he represents. He also has that special universal appeal. We travel the globe as ambassadors of Hip Hop and Hip Hop/Jazz so it is an honor and a pleasure to represent America at a time like this.
