  I am so excited about our new leader, President Barack Obama.I believe that he will make a change as he already has.The children that I work with everyday in the city of Los Angeles,have taken on new attitudes because they have witnessed a historical moment.I have made it my duty to constantly remind them about how important this moment is and will continue to be.They now know for certain that the word CAN’T is to no longer be a part of their vocabulary. The way they present themselves; whether its the language they use, the way they wear their pants, the type of grades they make, the music they listen to or the friends they choose,all of these things will determine who they are and which road they will choose to travel down, leading them to success.Our president has opened the minds of these children,leading and showing by example, not the impossible, but the POSSIBLE!Not only do the children have their fathers, uncles,brothers and cousins to look up to,they now have THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to look up to as well.I am now constanly hearing, I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE…..U FILL IN THE BLANK!!!I cant wait to see what the future holds for us as a people of the United States and our children that will soon be the leaders of tomorrow.

  I am filled with hope and a renewed since of inspiration as we look forward to this new world we are about to encounter. I say new world because although physically earth continues on its course we now have moved a giant step forward as we embark on this wonderful journey called life. we can all feel a shared sense of accomplishment, i wont say pride but instead a sense of positive accomplishment, i have removed the word pride from my vocabulary due to its negative connotations and now replace it knowingly with an enlightened mind.I am also grateful for our new shining star and visionary leader not only because he looks more like one of us but he shows by example what we as a people are capable of he shows us that we are not in fact limited to the ranks of sports figures and entertainers but that we can also take our rightful place among the great minds that are so celebrated in our history. We now see that openly and unapologetically
  we can stand and recount our abilities both as part of this nation and as part of its great history. the old paradigm or standard has been indeed shattered.we can now see that yes we do have a voice. and being exposed to some elitist thinkers among the ranks of the academia who may attribute this to his white heritage im sure that many are less than comforted at the thought of our new reality where an african american male has risen to the helm and highest rank of this nation. I must say that because i know the power of whats being projected in front of us I.E. a loving husband and father that we will be inherently changed in our thinking and seek this new standard of greatness that has nothing to do with bling or being a pimp or being thugged out, we have been tricked for to long into choosing from among evils as our only sources of great inspiration and its now time to recognize what we inherently new all along, that being, we are indeed capable of great things, we are not stupid, we can rise to great heights,we dont have to canabalize one another or resort to negativity in order to acheive greatness. we can also take our rightful places, as as we should a long time ago as capable strong minded and strong willed thining people.No longer will it come as a surprise that we are amazing because although attempts to hide our greatness have been legendary we can boldly say it is nothing new, we can boldy say we have always stood on the shoulders of great minds, great thinkers and some of the worlds greatest innovators dreamers and inventors. truth be told our accomplishments are nothing new but because we didnt control popular opinion we werent able to effect the minds of our people en masse, and i sadly admit that yes we have been to a great degree been misled into thinking less of ourselves by powers and principalities. but now unapologetically we rise, we rise to the pinnacle of heights unknown,we can see now that its truly cool to be intelligent instead of being fools, we can see that it is now cool to be a great husband and father,instead of leaving children with different mothers,and only wanting a fine frame, we can now see that it is very cool to love our black queens and they can have a woman to look up to respect and emulate. the time for having excellent role models is long over due and to our new President, our new commander in chief, to our new first family, our new and wonderfully intelligent first lady who counts it first to be a mother and wife, we salute you we pray Gods blessings over you, and we ask that you continue to inspire us with your love not only of others but of each other. In this world of fractured and broken dreams where darkness seems to know no end we appreaciate and are thankful for your being truly who you are,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
