LL Cool J + NCIS 2 = Must C TV

The rapper/actor/walking gym membership advertisement gets a new TV gig.

After 12 albums and two Grammy Awards, James Todd Smith a.k.a. LL Cool J swims away from the sinking music industry in favor of a steady job on television.  According to Variety LL is joining the cast of CBS’s upcoming spin-off of the wildly successful procedural NCIS, which stars Mark Harmon as the head of a special team that investigates military crimes.  The spin-off will apparently follow an L.A.-based NCIS team, which will include LLCJ as a Navy SEAL-turned-undercover operative with an in-depth knowledge of Middle East culture and politics.  Does this mean we can expect to see Busta Rhymes analyzing DNA on yet another  CSI spin-off?
