Is Donnis the Next KiD CuDi?

You may not have heard about Donnis yet, but with the release of his new 10. Deep sponsored mixtape The Diary Of An Atlanta Brave this Thursday, August 20, you’ll get familiar.

10. Deep has had a knack for calling the next “big” artists with its mixtapes, most notably KiD CuDi’s A KiD Named CuDi mixtape, which spawned the massive hit single “Day and Night.” The brand also released Wale’s Seinfeld-inspired opus The Mixtape About Nothing and helped him garner accolades outside of the blogosphere (but not his label, Interscope, who has yet to release his album).

Whether or not Donnis becomes the next big thing remains to be seen, but given 10 Deep’s track record of calling two artists which subsequent buzz and essentially doing the work of the major labels, it looks the like the Atlanta native has all of the marketing he’ll need already in place.
