Ashlee Simpson is rocking out with a new album aptly titled Bittersweet World. In between the banging beats and TV appearances, the younger Simpson is dodging questions regarding her engagement to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and rumors about a baby bump.

Say what you will about Ashlee Simpson. She’ a gossip-rag staple, a punch line for late-night talk show hosts and a walking billboard for pseudo-punk-pop music. But if you claim you didn’t sing along to her first single, he super-catchy “Pieces of Me,” or her latest, “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya),” well, you’re probably lying.

From day one, Simpson has cranked out radio-friendly hits that keep even the fussiest music critics tapping their feet. with her third album, Bittersweet World, the 23-year-old is shooting for a futuristic, beat-heavy sound, courtesy of urban producers Timbaland, Chad Hugo and Kenna. This collection is a solid, ambitious attempt at establishing Simpson as a legitimate artist.

Now if only people would just listen to the music and stop asking her about getting married, having a baby, plastic surgery and if she hates her sister. No wonder this lady is singing the blues.
