Behold the Triceracopter

By Shahendra Ohneswere, Senior Editor Jan 30, 2009

<br />

If this thing existed in real life, you best believe that I’d have two of them parked in front of my crib and ready to attack at a moment’s notice. Or fly me to Nantucket should I need to get away from it all.

Sculpted in 1977 by artist Patricia Renick, the “Triceracopter: Hope for the Obsolescence of War” is supposed to show how “ancient” the notion of war has become.

Ironically it’s as appropriate now was it was in the 1970s.

Hopefully when scientists start cross breeding weapons with animals (even extinct ones!) it’ll turn out something like this.
